Beginners - I, II

Instructors | Schedule
Beginners I (3 - 4 years old)

  • Singers will work on developing ability to sing in tune (matching pitch)
  • Singers will work on developing articulation
  • Singers will be introduced to the rhythmic activities with percussion instruments


    • Beginners II (5 - 7 years old)

  • Singers will develop ability to sing in tune (matching pitch)
  • Singers will develop correct articulation
  • Singers will be introduced to the rhythmic activities with percussion instruments
  • Music reading including basic rhythm patterns, note values, melodic patterns
    • Prelude Choir (7 - 8 years old)

  • Singers will develop singing in unison and in two parts
  • Singers continue working on correct articulation
  • Singers work on breathing techniques
  • Singers are introduced to the basics of artistic skills

    Concert Choir (8 to 16 years old)

    This choir provides a program of sequentially developed skills which cultivate excellence in musicianship, character and leadership

  • Vocal development with emphasis on improving tone quality, breath support, vowel production and blend
  • Sight singing
  • Two, three parts songs

    Our choral program is structured upon several levels, culminating in the Concert Choir. Each level is tailored to a specific age group and skill level. The levels are the following:

    • Beginners I (3-4 years old, no singing experience required) more...
    • Beginners II (5-7 years old, no singing experience required) more...
    • Prelude Choir (5-9 years old, some singing experience preferred) more...
    • Concert Choir (8-16 years old, singing experience and high skill level required) more...
