You might think of science as a class you have to take in school. Well, it's more than just that! If you haven't realized it already, science is all around you. It happens when you cook something, when it rains outside, or when you cruise down the street on Rollerblades. The list of places and actions that involve science could go on forever.
Our course will give you on overview of many of the different fields of science. We've chosen the most important topics kids this age should be aware of. In this course students will learn to:
- Observe and experiment with physical and chemical properties, such as density and boiling/freezing point
- Accurately observe, measure, and record changes of a substance
- Identify and explain structures and functions of organisms
- Underrstand and describe components of the solar system
- Explain the Earth's place in the solar system; for example, how the moon affects the tide and how Earth's rotation and tilt affects seasons
Our is a great a jumping-off point for discovering the incredible world of science.
Being curious about the world around us is a gift. The best way to use that gift is to search for answers to our questions, and to have fun while doing it.
